OUTREACH
In 2017 we discovered the extraordinary species richness of the grassland. Unfortunately, grasslands are often mistaken for degraded landscapes and a governmental forestation program arrived in the area with plans to transform the vegetation. Committed to preserving this unique environment, lab members and I began an environmental education program.
2015 - 2019
GRASSLAND CONSERVATION
Develop materials, plan activities, and lead groups for an annual one-day outreach event on the value of local grasslands in Mexico.
